"Discover the best pintxos Basque tapas bars in town on a dinner crawl with San Sebatian Food our idea of heaven. Then book in for a cooking class and learn how to do it yourself." - Elle UK

The tiny, delectable bites that line the bar tops of San Sebastian are its trademark—pintxos.

** One of our most popular experiences **

Finding (and eating) the best pintxos in town is a local sport, and in this class, home cooks learn how to replicate these sophisticated snacks at home. Let us guide you on a cooking journey through the recipes of the most famous streets and bars of San Sebastián’s Old Town, and learn how to replicate its most talked-about pintxos, from the shrimp kebab at Goiz Argi to the beef cheek at Borda Berri.

  • bilingual instruction with the local chef
  • aperitif & digestif
  • hands-on preparation of pintxos with top-quality produce
  • pintxo recipe booklet
  • gourmet lunch with wines

Each Pintxo Cooking class ends with a delicious lunch and carefully chosen wine pairings.  You will gather around our rustic wooden table to enjoy what you and your fellow classmates have cooked using your newly acquired knowledge.

Found this at the travel info center after booking with another company failed. Could not have been more pleased. Easy to find and class was so informative and FUN. Mateus was an excellent teacher, giving us some very useful information. We made pintxos, using octopus, cod on toast, veal cheeks, made a mini veggie garden and the most amazing cheese cake I have ever tasted. Learning about the wine pairing was so interesting and delicious. The kitchen was immaculate and all the staff were so knowledgeable. Mateus sent us all the recipes. Loved this small (4) class. Be sure to visit the gift shop in the hotel.

Since this company is already rated rated #1 in the category, I don't think it's necessary to write too much except to say it's obviously excellent. I joined the Essentials of Pintxo cooking class. The facility is superb, the staff/chefs are extremely friendly & helpful, this class is very conversational and a lot of fun. The class & staff doesn't feel like they're following a strict script; they genuinely enjoy what they do and truly want to show you a good time and how to cook their local dishes. Amazing experience that I would highly recommend to anyone!

"Highly recommend any tours or classes with SSF! Our pintxo hunting tour ended up being more of a private tour with our guide (and now friend!) Arantxa. We had so much fun with good wine and amazing pintxos. Before we left San Sebastián we decided to sign up for the pintxo cooking class. Patricio and Agus were excellent chefs and teachers. I will definitely be back for another class!"
