"Don't miss a foodie tour with San Sebastián Food, run by Englishman Jon Warren, who will take you to the best tucked-away little places. Centrally located in the Old Town, Jon offers evening pintxos-tasting walking tours as well as daytime trips to local producers and wine-tasting trips to La Rioja..." - Sainsbury's Magazine

Discover one of the world’s most famous wine regions guided by our team of experts, whose combined enthusiasm for Rioja is unparalleled. On this day-pass to the secrets of winemaking we will chauffeur you around this beautiful region, visiting two contrasting wineries along the way, each with their own style, history and architecture. The daytrip also includes a stroll through the lovely medieval village of Laguardia and lunch at one of its most local restaurants, tried and tested by our expert guides.

Tasting and teaching is the name of this package. Starting with the soil and moving from barrel to glass, you are taken step-by-step through the process of winemaking. Test your tastebuds, enrich your wine knowledge, and develop your ‘nose’ for wine. No questions are too silly and no wine thought too random for our passionate guides, devoted to celebrating the Rioja region.

"Vicky led us on the pinxtos food tour and Lourdes was our guide for the all day wine tour of La Rioja. Both guides were outstanding as to their personalities and their knowledge of subject matter. We highly recommend San Sebastián Food for their professionalism and their genuine interest in their clients having an outstanding experience."

“Rioja Day trip” SSF made our day trip to Rioja so easy and had arranged everything for us! We loved the other 4 in our group as well as our guide. We visited 3 wineries that were all different and had their own niche- it was very thoughtfully put together. They also had arranged a lovely lunch in LaGuardia for our group that had the most beautiful view looking out over the vineyards. Fantastic experience and we would highly recommend anyone wanting to visit Rioja to book with SSF!

“The food is topped by the staff you meet” La Rioja - If you're a wine enthusiast this one is a must. I thought I knew about Rioja wines, but this tour gave me a lot more than I knew about. Lourdes was our guide and she is a fantastic, fun loving person who we shared plenty of laughs with. You visit 3 totally different wineries and taste some great wines. Make sure you try the tortilla filled with morcilla on your morning tea stop, wash down with a local beer, very tasty. The lunch that's included is excellent, better than expected and on most other tours we've been on. You'll also get a great look at the spanish/basque country side. And of course plenty of Rioja wine!

“Rioja wine region day trip - sensational!” This was an amazing day with the most wonderful tour guide I have had in all my travels! Lourdes was lovely, knowledgable, authentic, professional and fun - as a host she felt more like our old friend taking care of us for the best day out. Lourdes tailored our wine region day to individual likes to make sure it was the most memorable day for each of us. She definitely went above and beyond to take care of me in every way! Stunning scenery, beautiful wineries, exquisite wines, authentic village caves, while enjoying the many laughs our group had with a most superb fine dining lunch - what a day to remember! Lourdes even offered further info for my travels to be enhanced in the Basque countryside that made my time in Spain the best it could be. I can't thank her enough!

“Amazing private tour” I can't thank San Sebastian Food enough for an amazing trip to Rioja. A friend and I were planning a short trip to San Sebastian and were trying to figure the easiest way to spend a day in wine country. SSB was so gracious in helping us set up the dates...our schedules changed and they were more than willing to accomodate our narrow option of dates to visit Rioja.

“Amazing!” We were fortunate enough to book two tours with San Sebastian Food: Pintxo Huting and the Rioja Day Tour. The guides -- Lourdes (Pintxo) and Agus (Rioja) were absolutely phenomenal. They both were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They made our trip to San Sebastian even more memorable. San Sebastian Food was also very accommodating to our travel schedule and made special arrangements so we could participate in both tours. Thanks to Lourdes, Agus, and San Sebastian Food!
